At First Steps Nursery we employ committed, experienced and fully qualified early years practitioners to ensure we provide your children with the best possible care and learning environment. All our staff are qualified in paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene.
Together we aim to provide the following;
- a happy, safe, warm and stimulating environment through a holistic approach for all children to play, learn and develop freely.
- help children to develop responsibility for themselves and their actions and to become competent, confident, independent and co-operative individuals.
- promote a positive relationship with parents and carers and work in partnership with them to provide high quality play and care for their children.
- undergo regular self-monitoring and evaluation of our services to ensure that the Nursery continues to meet the needs of children, parents and carers.
Our Nursery team consists of a Director, Manager and Deputy Manager. Along with Lead Practitioners and their team of Nursery Practitioners. Management work alongside practitioners to ensure staff development is a main priority and of a high quality.
'Leaders are well qualified and have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage. They use their knowledge to influence practice and provide support to the other staff members.' (Ofsted, May 2015)
